All images in the 2004 - 2007 galleries were photographed with a Nikon D70. Most images were taken with an AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-70 mm f/3.5-4.5. Images in the 2008 - 2009 galleries were photographed with a Nikon D300. Most images were taken with a Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II LD, some with a Sigma 50-150 mm f/2.8 EX HSM DC. In the 2009 gallery a few images were taken with a Tokina 11-16 mm f/2.8 PRO DX. |

All images in the 2004 - 2005, galleries were taken by hand-holding the camera. On occasion, I used my camera shoulder bag as a bean bag to support the camera, or I rested the camera on a fence post, tree trunk, lamp post, or building. All images in the 2006 - 2009 galleries were taken with a tripod, except those at archeological sites in Greece, which as a rule did not allow the use of tripods. I currently use a Feisol three-section carbon-fibre tripod with a ACRATECH Ultimate Ball-head. I am very happy with this light-weight yet stable combination. |

All Images were recorded in RAW format, converted with Adobe Camera Raw, and edited with Adobe Photoshop on a Macintosh computer. |

I currently use Photoshop CS4 on a Macintosh MacPro computer with an Apple 23" Cinema display. |

Nowadays, I seldom print pictures. I find that a good monitor, or a good plasma HDTV, shows off images much better. To be able to show images saved in photo editors, such as Adobe Photoshop, on an HDTV, the images will have to be converted back into DCF compliance. For more information on the HDTV Converter, which does this trick, click the VAVsoft link at the bottom of this page. |
